Jerry A. Cisinsky, Former Sergeant United States Marine Corps, and Former Deputy Director/Senior Investigator San Diego County Department of Revenue and Recovery died at his home on April 13, 2011.

He was the only son born to Bernard P. and Rosie R. Cisinsky. He grew up in New York City’s upper Manhattan area known as Washington Heights. Jerry enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1955 and was Honorably Discharged after two enlistments where he returned to New York City to work with his Father. Following his Father's death, Jerry returned to San Diego where he went to work for the County. Some of his fondest memories came from his long friendship with his employer, Morrie Pion, and immediate supervisor, Doug Gee. After retiring from the County of San Diego, he worked as the Manager of the Chamber of Commerce in three cities. He then finished his career as Litigation Manager/Claims Supervisor for the San Diego County Schools.

Jerry was a Charter Member of the Marine Corps League San Diego Bulldog Detachment, Co Founder of the Marine Corps Birthday Luncheon held annually at Giovanni's Restaurant, Original Member of the Ramona Trails Association and Past President of the San Diego County Investigator's Association. He was a known animal lover and was credited, along with his friend Jacquie Nelson, in establishing the Rancho Bernardo Dog Park. He also served on the committee for the Bob Burkhart Poway Dog Park with Mr. Burkhart and his dear friend, Lani Smith. He was an expert horseman, and a strong advocate for Appaloosa Horses. His Appaloosa Gelding, Dinero Joaquin AKA Happy the Appy was one of the most recognizable and reliable trail horses in the area. Many of his fondest memories came from riding the trails with his "horse buddies" Kevin Skahan and Darlene Rose of Ramona. He was best known for his devotion to the Marine Corps. Through his efforts in establishing his Detachment's parade program and the annual Birthday Luncheon he was one of the most visible and active Former Marines in the area earning him a nomination for Veteran of the Year in San Diego. He was also a staunch supporter and fund raiser for the Marine Corps League's Injured Marines Fund.
Jerry is survived by his children Lara R. Northern and Jay B. Cisinsky, their spouses Louie and Rebecca, his grandchildren Lewis, Austin, Adrianna, Anthony and Allyson as well as the family’s beloved Boston Terrier Sydney.
